yours truly will be at walk the line, the new movie about johnny cash.in case you've been hiding under a rock, the movie stars joaquin phoenix, who plays the indomitable mr. cash, and reese witherspoon, who plays june carter cash.
and yes...i am an unabashed johnny cash fan.
but i'm also curious to see who portrays "mother" maybelle carter, and how much of a role she's given in the film.
it is, quite simply, impossible to overestimate the amount of influence maybelle carter had on the world of music.
here's hoping the movie gives at least a token nod to her.

Sandra Ellis Lafferty will be playing Maybelle Carter, according to the Internet Movie Database.
I never was a big fan of the kind of music Johnny Cash made but I have always recognized him as one of the best people ever in music. The world is a little bit dimmer with his passing. Joaquin Phoenix is a very intense actor & I think he will do a great job in portraying The Man In Black.
